Grade 6 Leders

The Leders worked in their groups to come up with a book package with a budget and some specific criteria that the class voted for. The students were not allowed to vote for their own group which made them work harder on their package. Congratulations to Madeleine, Ryan, Ariana, Vivian and Alisha for being the winning group of this actitivty. Everyone became winners when we received the book package order today. The new books that were ordered are now part of our Leder Class Library. Way to go Budget Leders!

Today was our last VIP session with Officer Joe. Our students presented him with a Thank You card created by Katelynne that was signed by all the students in Grade 6. Over the past five sessions, Officer Joe presented us with some very important and useful information on Cyber Bullying, Internet Safety, Graffiti, Vandalism and Theft, Guns, Gangs and Violence and Drugs. We were fortunate to have this opportunity to learn from Officer Joe's expertise in these areas.

As the holiday season is approaching we are trying to think of others and to show our appreciation. On Friday, we began a Random Acts of Kindness Project with our learning buddies. We are creating cards, posters, signs, awards etc. for various people who we want to honour in our School Community. We look forward to seeing their reactions when they receive our appreciations!!!
